An NYPD instructor may have to resuscitate her own career, after being stripped of her gun and shield for conducting insufficient CPR training for a Police Academy class that included the cop convicted of fatally shooting Akai Gurley in a darkened stairwell.

Officer Melissa Brown, 35, who is assigned to the NYPD’s Recruit Training Section, was placed on modified assignment Monday and is now restricted to administrative work, an NYPD spokesman confirmed.

A source familiar with the investigation told the Daily News that Brown is facing possible disciplinary charges for conducting slipshod CPR training for cops in Officer Peter Liang’s 2013 recruit class.
