Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart throwing his officers under the bus every chance he has....

Drunk Illegal Alien strikes female Sheriff Deputy Antoinette Bertucci in restaurant and then is knocked out by another restaurant patron. Tom Dart moves to fire officer Bertucci for allegedly giving 'contradictory testimony' despite undisputed video surveillance showing subject Morales unprovokingly hitting the female officer. The Cook County Merit Board voted to fire officer Bertucci despite an unbelievably weak case.  

Undisputed Facts of the case...

Intoxicated subject Morales enters restaurant and begins harassing patrons. Morales strikes officer Bertucci which is presented in video evidence and is an undisputed fact of the case. Another patron presumable defending the officer, knocks out Morales with one punch. Morales is charged with aggravated battery and spends one month in jail. Morales sues and has his conviction overturned only on the merits he was overcharged in the case..  

The Sheriffs unbelievably weak case against officer Bertucci.

The Sheriff states officer Bertucci should not have handcuffed Morales as he lay unconscious on the floor. The Sheriff further alleges officer Bertucci exaggerated the assault even thought video evidence proved Morales struck Bertucci.    The Sheriff further alleges Bertucci "may' have given conflicting testimony of the event.

Investigator Courtland Campbell testified officer Bertucci gave truthful 'consistent'  testimony of the event.

Despite the testimony of Investigator Cambell and the facts of the case, the Cook County Merit Board still fired officer Bertucci.  

Cook County Sheriff Cop Hating Merit Board. How do these people sleep at night destroying the lives of good cops who did nothing wrong?
