Lake County Illinois Probation Officer Anselmo "Curry Dick" Magana took money, sex for padding service hours

Following an investigation that lasted nearly a year and a half, a Lake County probation officer has been arrested and jailed on multiple misconduct charges.

Anselmo Magana, 44, of Lindenhurst, is accused of awarding court-ordered community service hours to adults on probation in exchange for money and sexual acts, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

He was indicted by a Lake County grand jury Wednesday on 11 counts of official misconduct, a Class 3 felony that carries a potential prison sentence of two to five years in prison upon conviction.
