A Greater Grand Crossing man was charged with animal cruelty after he allegedly poured boiling water onto a cat and posted a video of the incident to Facebook, police said.

Leon Teague, 18, was charged with one felony count of animal torture and one misdemeanor count of depicting animal cruelty, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

About 10 p.m. on Feb. 2, Teague posted a video to a Facebook that showed him pouring boiling water onto a cat, police said.
