Matsui Rena to cast Okita Soji in Stage Play

Former SKE48 member Matsui Rena (松井玲奈) will cast Okita Soji (沖田総司) in Stage Play "Shin Bakumatsu Junjoden" (新・幕末純情伝).

Okita Soji was Japanese famous swordsmen, he was the captain of the first unit of the Shinsengumi, a special police force in Kyoto during the late shogunate period. In the stage play Okita Soji is a boyish girl, Matsui Rena will star, becoming the 9th person to play female version of the historical figure Okita Soji.

This role was cast by Japanese famous actresses Hirosue Ryoko (広末涼子), Ishihara Satomi (石原さとみ) and Kiritani Mirei (桐谷美玲).
