Two Brooklyn cops were wounded early Saturday in a wild car chase and gunfight with a gun-toting suspect who slammed his vehicle head-on into a patrol car, police said.
One of the injured cops survived when a bullet fired by the suspect slammed into his bullet-proof vest during the 3 a.m. shootout, which ended with the gunman shot several times.
Jamal Funes, 34, opened fire on the eight officers who surrounded his crashed car shortly after he pointed a .357 Magnum at cops and sped off about 3 a.m. in Bedford-Stuyvesant, police said.
