An extra alarm fire was reported in Chicago’s West Humboldt Park neighborhood Tuesday morning in what may be a flea market building with people trapped inside, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

The fire started in the 4500 block of West Haddon Avenue. The one-story building where the fire sparked takes up two city blocks, officials said.

Fire officials said there were reports of people trapped in the northwest side of the building, which may contain a flea market.

A sign that read Buyers Flea Market could be seen surrounded by smoke.

Ambulances were called to the scene and people were seen on stretchers.
