At least 21 people have been wounded, one fatally, in shootings and a stabbing since Thursday morning across Chicago, according to police.

A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed about 7:10 p.m. in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.

The boy, identified as Lucas Spicer of the 1600 block of South Central Park Avenue, was among three people who were shot in the 800 block of North St. Louis Avenue, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office and police.

The three were walking on the sidewalk when a light-colored vehicle pulled up and someone got out and fired 10 shots, striking the victims, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a police spokeswoman. Police initially said the shooting happened in the 700 block of North Trumbull Avenue.
