Production on the latest "Maze Runner" film was shut down today after star Dylan O’Brien, was run over by a car during filming.

O’Brien was hospitalized yesterday with severe injuries including multiple broken bones, according to TMZ.

20th Century Fox issued a statement confirming the accident.

“Dylan O'Brien was injured yesterday while filming “Maze Runner: The Death Cure” in Vancouver, Canada. He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment. Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery.”

According to TMZ, the 24-year-old star was crushed and run over when something went wrong during filming.
