This is the tense moment a Baltimore cop confronted a teen whose 14-year-old brother had been shot because his BB gun looked '100 per cent' real.

Officer Thomas Smith, a 12-year departmental veteran, shot Dedric Colvin in the leg and shoulder after he spotted him walking outside the McKim Center in East Baltimore carrying what he believed was a semiautomatic pistol.

In video, posted on Facebook, Major Deron Garrity, who is responsible for the Southeastern District of Baltimore, is heard telling Colvin's older brother Alvin that the replica looked '100 per cent real' as he tried to explain why the teen had been shot.
