Fraternal Order of Police, Chicago Lodge #7 May 31, 2016 Senate Bill 777 Over the Holiday weekend, the Illinois House followed the lead of the Senate and voted to override the governor's veto of SB 777. The actions taken by these women and men is more than precedent setting, it is the first override of substance since Governor Rauner took office.  On behalf of every retired (and active) member of the CPD, I wish to thank everyone in Springfield who supported all of the hard work Lodge 7, Local 2 and the Mayor's office put towards improving our present pension crisis. We finally have dedicated sources of funding that will be allocated directly into the CPD and CFD pensions.
