John Kass and Chicago Tribune Contributor/Peta Activist Brien Comerford endorse "crime fighter" Tom Dart for Mayor.. 

John Kass’ Wednesday column asserted that Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart would be a compelling mayoral candidate. Dart has a humane, visionary and inclusive record. He is a crime fighter who also has compassion for nonviolent criminals. He has brought attention to overcrowding at Cook County Jail. Dart is a racially and ethnically inclusive leader who knows that income inequality is a serious societal problem in Illinois, Cook County and Chicago. He has been lauded by the Humane Society of the United States for arresting violent, cruel and inhumane criminals who torture, maim and kill innocent dogs, cats, horses and other companion animals. Dart's conscientious respect and empathy for life make him equipped to be an exemplary administrator for any elected office in Chicago, Cook County and Illinois.
