Illegal Beaner Jose "Tiny Dick" Reyes guilty of kidnapping, assaulting 3-year-old Mundelein girl

Jose Reyes was found guilty Thursday of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 3-year-old Mundelein girl, raising the possibility that he will spend the rest of his life in prison.

In handing down the verdict, Lake County Circuit Court Judge Mark Levitt said the evidence he saw and testimony he heard during the trial of Reyes left no doubt in his mind that Reyes was guilty of all of the charges against him.

The highlight of the prosecution's case against Reyes was a video of the assault he took with his cellphone, which Levitt said left no doubt that the "minor child was kidnapped, recorded and sexually assaulted."

He also called the physical evidence against Reyes, such as DNA matches, "abundant," the forensics in the case "pristine" and the Mundelein police investigation that led to Reyes quick, but "more importantly, careful."
