Chicago Police: Black Men robbing delivery drivers at gunpoint in Roseland
Police are cautioning food delivery drivers in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side after several men robbed three drivers at gunpoint in as many days earlier this month.
The robberies all occurred within blocks of each other, according to police. They were reported:
-On Dec. 7 in the 10700 block of South Perry;
-On Dec. 8 in the 10700 block of South Lafayette;
-On Dec. 9 in the 0-100 block of West 107th Street.
In each robbery, the suspects ordered food for delivery. Once the driver arrived with the order, two or three men robbed him at gunpoint and demanded food and money, police said.
The men were all described as black, between 20 and 25 years old and wearing hooded sweatshirts, police said. They were armed with a long-barrel shotgun.
