Former St. Louis Police Chief Dan Isom said Thursday he has been encouraged to apply for the job of Chicago Police superintendent, but he’s more inclined to stay to finish the “significant amount of community work” left to do in the aftermath of the violence in Ferguson, Missouri.
Isom refused to identify the Chicago recruiter, except to say that it was back-channel communication that did not come from “the police administration or city government.”
