Master Polock Burglar Alan Konwinski Possible suspect in 86 spa burglaries in Naperville, elsewhere nabbed

A Polish Mob Man police said they found clad in a sweatshirt identical to one worn by a suspected serial burglar has been charged with five of 86 hair and nail salon burglaries that have occurred since last summer in 32 Chicago-communities, including Naperville and Batavia.

Naperville police late Friday did not immediately reply to a request for information about the development, but Northbrook police Detective Sgt. Mark Graf said Naperville detectives traveled Friday to his village to investigate the suspect, Alan Konwinski, 26, of the 1200 block of Arbor Avenue, Highland Park.

Graf said the DuPage County Sheriff's Office provided Northbrook with information about a possible suspect in the crime spree, which began in August.

Armed with that information, police at 4:35 p.m. Thursday saw Konwinski traveling in the 3000 block of Macarthur Boulevard in Northbrook, where they stopped and arrested him on a charge of driving with a suspended license, according to a police department release.
