ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WJBK) - The University of Michigan's oldest sorority Kappa Alpha Theta was disbanded Sunday for poor behavior.
Its national organization voted unanimously to close the chapter after it had been on campus for nearly 140 years.
"Despite ongoing support and education provided to the chapter by Fraternity officers and staff, recent chapter activities constituted serious violations of Fraternity policies and were contrary to the Fraternity's basic principles," the national chapter said in a statement.
