Those crime infested Swede's! Restaurant Stick-up King - Cord Greenwall - charged in Naperville Papa John's holdup, five others

An  Aurora man who's believed to have held up six fast food restaurants, including a Papa John's in Naperville, was arrested this week on robbery charges.

Cord Greenwall, 27, of the 200 block of Hill Avenue, Aurora, was taken into custody Monday after he allegedly robbed a Burger King at Ogden Avenue and Montgomery Road in a vehicle police were already seeking as being involved in the other cases, according to an Aurora police report.

He was charged Tuesday with four counts of aggravated robbery and two counts of robbery, all felonies. He was armed with an undisclosed weapon in at least one of the robberies, DuPage County State's Attorney's Office spokesman Paul Darrah said.

Police believe Greenwall single-handedly robbed six Aurora area fast-food establishments between Feb. 15 and Monday. The first four robberies — a Papa John's in the 3000 block of East New York Street; a Subway in the 2900 block of Ogden Avenue; and a Dunkin' Donuts in the 1200 block of North Eola Road, all in Aurora, and a Papa John's in the 1200 block of Ogden Avenue of Naperville — happened over five days ending Feb. 20.

On Feb. 27 police believe he struck at a Subway in the 2900 block of Ogden Avenue for a second time. His last robbery, at the Burger King in the 2300 block of Ogden Avenue, was two days later, according to the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office.

In each instance, Greenwall entered the restaurant, demanded an employee give him money from a cash register and fled, according to the state's attorney's office.

"It is alleged that within a two-week period, Mr. Greenwall entered six separate businesses intent on robbery," said DuPage County State's Attorney Robert B. Berlin.
