Nicolas Mobley, 22, Charged in Shooting with Off Duty Cook County Sheriff Officer
An Englewood man is facing criminal charges after he was shot by an off-duty Cook County correctional officer during an exchange of gunfire on the city's West Side earlier this week.
Nicolas Mobley, 22, of the 200 block of West 61st Street, is facing one felony count of attempted first degree murder, one felony count of aggravated discharge of a firearm at a peace officer and one felony count of armed robbery, according to Chicago police.
Police said Mobley was robbing someone at gunpoint about 10:25 p.m. Sunday in the 3400 block of West Madison Street when an off-duty Cook County correctional officer spotted the robbery.
