Brother of Los Angeles Dodgers Pitcher Josh Ravin Shot in Woodland Hills - Joel Ravin was wounded after being shot multiple times; suspect is still at large
The brother of Los Angeles Dodger pitcher Josh Ravin was shot and wounded in Woodland Hills early today, and the suspect is still at large, according to police and broadcast reports police were searching for the suspect, according to a police spokesman and media reports.
It happened near 22901 Vanowen St. about 1:45 a.m., LAPD Officer Mike Lopez said.
ABC7 identified the victim as Joel Ravin.
“A man in his 30s was shot multiple times,” Lopez said. “He was taken to a hospital in stable condition and remains in stable condition today.”
Lopez said the gunman also was a man in his 30s and both the victim and the gunman were white.
Ashish Madan, who lives near the scene, told ABC7 he heard two shots and saw a wounded man lying on the ground.
Today was the Dodgers’ last game of the regular season, at Dodger Stadium, a 6-3 win over the Padres.
