The pursuit stated when authorities attempted to stop the vehicle in connection with a theft investigation, and the driver, Tiffany Renee Reed, 26, of St. Louis, was detained on second-degree theft warrant in connection with a Sept. 15 theft from Von Maur at College Square.

She is also being held on charges of interference in connection with an incident at a store in Riverside and a second-degree theft warrant from Dallas County.

Other arrested for interference following the chase were LaFonda Davis, 30, and Tia D. Reed, 22, both of St. Louis.

Cedar Falls police said they were contacted by West Des Moines police after posting Crime Stoppers notifications about the Von Maur theft, which involved $5,500 worth of clothing.

West Des Moines investigators were investigating similar crimes at Jordan Creek Mall in West Des Moines, and an arrest warrant had been issued for Reed for a theft at the Victoria's Secret store at Jordan Creek, police said.
