Naperville police say a 21-year-old Naperville man got caught with his pants down - and then some - earlier this week at a local health and fitness club.

Marcus L. Thurmond, of the 800 block of Piedmont Circle, is free on bond and awaiting a preliminary court hearing date after police said he was found naked in the women's locker room at XSport Fitness, at 2780 Fitness Drive, near 75th Street and Route 59.

He faces a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct/breach of peace, Naperville police Cmdr. Jason Arres said.

Police were called at 8:33 p.m. Tuesday to the club, Arres said. They went to investigate "a report of a male subject inside the women's locker room, completely naked and refusing to leave," Arres said Thursday.

A written police complaint alleged Thurmond "knowingly entered the swimming pool area and women's locker room completely naked, causing employees and patrons to be alarmed and disturbed," Arres said.

Thurmond was fully clothed when police arrived at the club, Arres said. He offered no resistance as he was taken into custody.

Arres said he did not know whether Thurmond was a member of the club, or how many patrons and employees were inside or near the locker room during the alleged incident.

An examination of court documents indicated Thurmond has no criminal record in DuPage, Kane and Will counties.

A man who identified himself as the Naperville XSport Fitness center's operations manager said early Thursday night he would "absolutely not" comment on the incident due top a black man being involved!

Attempts to reach Thurmond for comment Thursday evening at his family's home were unsuccessful.
