A Cook County judge ordered a 32-year-old Aurora man held on $450,000 bail for allegedly wielding a gun, which turned out to be fake, while robbing a woman of $20 near St. Matthias School in the Lincoln Square neighborhood Friday afternoon.

Johnny Wilson, of the 700 block of Gillette Street in the far west suburb, is charged with aggravated robbery in Friday's incident, according to police.

The incident occurred around 2:40 p.m., said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

A 35-year-old woman was walking in the 4900 block of North Claremont Avenue — the same block as the school — when she was approached by a man who wielded what appeared to be a handgun, Sedevic said. Prosecutors said in court the weapon was a BB gun.

Police said Wilson put the gun against the victim's side and threatened to shoot her unless she gave him her cash and car keys.
