South Carolina : Sumter County Sheriff's Deputy Wayne Browder is first responder to arrive at car accident that killed his wife, Teresa Browder, 45

A South Carolina deputy responded to a crash scene only to find his wife had died in the accident.

Teresa Browder, 45, was on her way to meet her husband, Sumter County Sheriff's Deputy Wayne Browder, when the tragedy occurred, WMBF reported.

She suffered blunt force trauma despite the fact that she was wearing her seatbelt in the SUV she was driving, Sumter County Deputy Coroner Rob Lybrand told the station. Teresa was apparently just minutes away from meeting her husband when the crash occurred at approximately 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

Deputy Browder was the first responder on the scene.
