Johns Hopkins University has identified the unnamed soldier to be the recipient of the first penis transplant to be conducted in the United States.

Reuters reports the surgery will happen in the coming weeks once a donor organ is located. While the man hasn’t been publicly identified, the hospital said he lost most of his penis during a bomb explosion while serving overseas.
