DAYTON, Ohio – A man has been arrested and charged for strangling a Dayton man.
Jerry Ramey, 42, is charged with murder, felonious assault and aggravated burglary in connection with the Monday strangling of Earl E. Davis, according to court records. He is currently in Montgomery County jail.
Davis was found dead about 9:25 p.m. Monday inside his home on Strand Avenue, Dayton Lt. Mark Ponichtera told WHIO.
Ramey was arrested Tuesday at a store on the 4400 block of North Main Street in Harrison Township, WHIO reports.
Dayton police confirmed Ramey was acquainted with Davis, but Ponichtera could not elaborate on their relationship, according to WHIO.
Ramey is scheduled to appear in court Monday afternoon, jail logs show.
