New Jersey State Police Trooper Sean Cullen, 31, dies after being struck at accident scene

A New Jersey State Police Trooper died early Tuesday, hours after sustaining severe head injuries when he was struck by a vehicle at an accident scene, state police said.

Sean Cullen, 31, had been a trooper for about two years.

Cullen had responded to an accident in the southbound lanes of Interstate 295 in Deptford Township, Gloucester County around 8:15 p.m. Monday.
