Repeat Drunken Driving Illegal Beaner Cesar C. Sanchez made wrong turn, drove 200 feet on Metra tracks: cops
A man found driving his luxury car atop a 200-foot-long section of railroad tracks near Naperville's Fourth Avenue Metra Railway station had a blood-alcohol level more than three times the legal limit at the time of his arrest, Naperville police said.
It marked the second time in three years that the man, Cesar C. Sanchez, had been charged with DUI. His blood-alcohol content in the earlier case also registered at more than triple the level that defines intoxication under Illinois law, according to records on file in DuPage County Circuit Court.
Sanchez, 30, lives in the 30W000 block of Granada Court, in an unincorporated area northwest of North Aurora Road and Route 59. He is charged with two counts of DUI and one each of improper lane use and trespassing on railroad property, court records said.
Police reports showed Sanchez was found behind the wheel of his four-door Mercedes-Benz car at about 9:45 p.m. March 18 on a stretch of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway tracks just west of the Loomis Street crossing.
