WATCH: Tampa PD Releases Body Cam Video 'You Won't See on the Evening News' - "We see people at their best, but more often, at their worst."

The Tampa Police Department has released a video montage of body camera footage showing what its officers go through on a daily basis in dealing with the public. In it you will see officers cursed at, belittled, threatened, ignored, and disrespected. But you will also see officers serving that same public; helping them and even saving their lives.

This is an obvious effort by the department to serve as a reminder that it is the rare occasion when an officer behaves badly and not what is shown over and over on national media.

The video also includes some sobering statistics for the Florida town:

In 2014, 20% of the 1,000 Tampa police officers were assaulted in the line of duty and 341 officers were injured in the line of duty.
