AS BLUE ISLAND IL TURNS TO SHIT: 1 KILLED, 1 SHOT & WOUNDED IN BLUE ISLAND PREMIUM 127 BAR & GRILL SHOOTING

BLUE ISLAND, Ill. (WLS) --

One man is dead and another is injured after a shooting in south suburban Blue Island early Monday.

Michael Goldsmith, 27, of Blue Island, was taken to Christ Hospital and later died, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said. A second man was taken to Metro South Hospital in Blue Island.

The shooting took place around 1 a.m. at the Premium 127 Bar and Grill at 1859 W. 127th St. The crime scene stretched down the block.

According to bar security, there was a fight, and they kicked a few people out of the bar. Not long after, shots began to ring out.
