In the latest shooting, a male, whose age was not immediately available, was wounded in the South Chicago neighborhood about 8:50 p.m., said Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago police spokesman.
The male was shot in the leg in the 9000 block of South Burley Avenue. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center for treatment, Zala said.
About 6:23 p.m., two men were shot on the 300 block of South Pulaski Road near the Blue Line CTA station in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, police said.
The victims, a 29-year-old and a 33-year-old, both suffered leg wounds. The 29-year-old was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition. The older man refused medical attention, Zala said.
Earlier, two other men were shot on the 7800 block of South Cornell Avenue in the South Shore neighborhood, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a police spokeswoman.
The shooting happened at 5:28 p.m. and left a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his left leg and a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his ankle. The older man was taken in good condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the younger man was in good condition at Jackson Park Hospital.
A 28-year-old man was shot at 2:21 p.m. on the 3100 block of North Central Avenue in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood, Tannehill said.
The man, who is a gang member, was shot in the right leg after an SUV drove up and began firing, police said. He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital in good condition, police said.
Earlier, at 1:02 p.m. a 27-year-old man was shot on the 4900 block of West Adams Street in the South Austin neighborhood, Tannehill said. The man was shot five times in the buttocks and was taken to Mount Sinai in good condition. The man was not being cooperative with police.
The 17-year-old boy was shot in the South Austin neighborhood on the West Side on Saturday morning, police said.
The teen was in the 500 block of North Mayfield Avenue at 10:20 a.m. when a dark blue van pulled up and stopped, said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.
The driver got out, walked up to the teen and began shooting, Estrada said, and a passenger in the van also began shooting.
The gunman then got back into the van and drove off, Estrada said.
The teen, who is a gang member, was shot in the right leg and was taken to West Suburban Hospital in good condition, police said.
Area North detectives were investigating.
