CHICAGO — A dapper gentleman in a blue blazer and khakis doled out Chicago-style street justice aboard a CTA train at the 35th Street station recently, beating a younger man said to have spent 15 minutes spewing racist taunts at the older man.
Videos of the episode on the Red Line train were posted to Twitter on Monday night, April 18. The older black man, fed up after listening to tattooed, bearded, white man taunt him with the word "nigger" repeatedly, got up from his seat and dished out a beating that put the younger man on the ground, the video shows.
Just before punishment was dealt, the younger man screams, "Hit me, come on do something."
Without a word, and much to the surprise and satisfaction of fellow South Side CTA riders, the pummeling began. He doesn't even unbutton his jacket. After putting him to the ground, he slams the younger man's head to the floor with both hands.
