Dave Mitchell Dead at 60 - Longtime Chicago WBBM 78 Newsradio Anchor has a Grabber while driving on I-65 and smashes into a cement barrier at rocket speed

A WBBM Newsradio anchor died Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 in Merrillville, Indiana.

Dave Mitchell, 60, was at the wheel of a 2008 Cadillac CTS in the right lane of southbound I-65 near 61st Street at 8:40 a.m. when the vehicle veered off to the left and crashed into a concrete median, according to Indiana State Police. There were no signs of the vehicle braking before the crash.
