Two burglary suspects led police on a thoroughly modern car chase in Los Angeles today that included donuts for the TV cameras in Hollywood and ended with high-fives and selfies.
The two men, who have not been identified, were picked up by officers in Cerritos in southern LA following reports of a burglary at around 2pm.
Cops were called to reports of a residential burglary by neighbors who gave a description of the men and their vehicle, which was then picked up by police helicopter, the LA County Sheriff's Office said.
The pair, driving a drop-top Ford Mustang, managed to evade authorities down rain-slicked highways for the next hour and a half, a chase captured by KTLA and ABC7.
