White women's life expectancy DROPS amid rising drug abuse, alcoholism, suicides and DATING BLACK MEN

Life expectancy for American white women has fallen for the first time in years - as every other demographic saw an increase.

White women lost about five weeks (0.1 years) from their predicted lifespan in 2014, compared to 2013, according to a report issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Wednesday.

The figures coincide with a spike in suicides, opiate-abuse and alcoholism among white women in all income brackets.

It is a worrying drop considering life expectancy is surging at an annual rate of 0.2 years in almost every other developed country.  

Life expectancy held steady for black women and white men - and even increased for black men, Hispanic men and Hispanic women.
