He was standing with a female in the gangway of a residence in the 700 block of West 48th Place about 8:50 p.m. when another male walked up and shot him in the abdomen, police said.

The teen was shot about 6:35 p.m. in 7600 block of South Sangamon, according to preliminary information from police. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition had stabilized.
