Body of woman missing since April found in desert
MARICOPA, Ariz. - The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has found the body of a missing Maricopa woman. Angela Russo, 25, has been missing since April 19.

Russo told her parents she was visiting a friend in Chandler, but she was apparently meeting a man she met online.
“Information through the investigation led us to a shallow grave in the Tonopah area,” said MCSO Det. Doug Matteson.
Investigators have arrested 25-year-old Lashawn Johnson in connection with the murder. Russo’s family tells 12 News they found pictures of Johnson on an old phone and turned that over to Maricopa Police early into the investigation.
“We had pictures of him from the very beginning,” said Russ’s mother Diana Schalow.
