Mt. Greenwood Beware: Oak Lawn Cops Stepping Up DUI Patrols Through Memorial Day

“You’ll see us making lots of stops during this highly visible enforcement period ...," police say.

Oak Lawn, IL, May 19, 2016 -- Partiers be warned: Oak Lawn police will be cracking down more than usual on seat belt violators, texters and impaired drivers from now until May 30.


The Oak Lawn Police Department is participating in the annual Illinois “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” crackdown on drunk drivers during the Memorial Day holiday. Police will be conducting high-visibility and seat belt patrols. Anyone caught driving drunk will be arrested; front and back seat belt law violators will also be ticketed.
