A Morgan Park man was ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bail after prosecutors say he hit a woman in the head with a bottle and bit a police officer who was trying to arrest him.

Terrance Gordon, 25, appeared in bond court at the Leighton Criminal Courts Building before Judge Laura Marie Sullivan on charges of domestic battery with bodily harm and aggravated battery of a police officer.

Gordon hit the 27-year-old woman on the head with a bottle after a verbal dispute and then drove a car and crashed at 7700 South Loomis Street, according to police reports.

When a police officer tried to arrest him, Gordon bit her on the right forearm, breaking the skin, to try to escape arrest. After his arrest about 6:45 p.m. at 78th Street and Loomis, Gordon was taken to St. Bernard Hospital for Taser-prong removal.
