DEADLY STANDOFF: Baltimore cops shoot, kill 23-year-old high yellower welfare breeder Korryn Gaines, who barricaded herself inside apartment with little boy — child suffers gunshot wound to limb
Police in Baltimore fatally shot a 23-year-old woman who investigators said threatened to kill an officer while barricaded with a young boy inside an apartment Monday.
The child, 5, was wounded in the exchange of gunfire with Baltimore County police and the woman, identified as Korryn Gaines, but it's unclear if he was shot by police or the woman, authorities said.
The boy suffered non-life threatening injuries with a bullet to a limb. A relative told the Baltimore Sun the child was Gaines' son.
The standoff began at around 9:20 a.m. when three police officers in Randallstown knocked on the door intending to serve arrest warrants for a man inside the home and another for Gaines that was related to traffic violations from March.
