Illegal Beaners in Rural Kentucky - Bullitt County drug raid nets 3 kilos, $300,000 worth of narcotics - Cid Alvaro and Junior Guzman arrested - DONALD TRUMP BUILD THAT WALL NOW

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky - The Bullitt County Drug Task Force says a Sunday night drug bust netted about three kilos of drugs with a street value of $300,000.

After a year-long investigation, police arrested Junior Guzman and Cid Alvaro, both of whom are from New York. Police also confiscated more than $5,000 in cash.

"These narcotics, we believe, were headed toward Bullitt County," said Captain Mike Halbleib, director of the Bullitt County Drug Task Force. "The arrests were made in downtown Louisville, but we have reason to believe this cocaine was going to Bullitt County."

The Task Force can not say exactly where the men were arrested in downtown Louisville because of the pending investigation, but will say they were walking at the time. 

"These would be definitely be your upper-level drug traffickers, based on the quantity," Halbleib said. "It's great, because you are moving up the scale of drug traffickers getting into the upper level of the organization. It helps dismantle the organization."

Guzman and Alvaro are now behind bars at the Oldham County Jail, which often houses federal inmates.

"I'm sure at some point when you deal with these large quantities, it's connected to the cartel at some point," Halbleib. "We don't have any reason to believe that these two subjects are connected to the cartel."

He says the drugs came from the northern United States, but couldn't specify the exact location.

The Drug Task Force is investigating if any other people are involved with the men.

"Even though someone eventually will take their place, it definitely stops the drugs for coming for a decent amount of time," Halbleib said.
