NASHVILLE, TN: Nasty Fat Stanky Colored Wildebeest Teacher Marquita Alston has been accused of having inappropriate contact with students - Even nasty women need lovin' too....

A teacher at Pearl-Cohn High School has been accused of having inappropriate contact with students.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Metro Nashville Public Schools said Marquita Alston was placed on administrative leave once accusations surfaced.

"Student safety is always our No. 1 priority. MNPS is cooperating fully with Metro Police in the investigation," the statement read in part.

Diamond Bell is a student in Alston's biology class.

"I don't believe it because she's not the type of person who would do something like that," Bell said.

Bell said Alston was the type of teacher who listened.

"She told us what she'd been through and her life story and stuff," Bell said. "That's why I thought she was one of the best teachers."

Metro police said they are investigating a teacher at Pearl-Cohn High. The sex crimes unit is handling the case.

"She was friendly, but I never witnessed something that would have made me think of that," Bell said.

Bell described Alston as laid-back and someone who enjoyed having fun in class. However, the student recently noticed a change.

"After fall break, she kind of got a little meaner with us, made us do what we were supposed to do, because we weren't at first," Bell said.

Parent DeShaun Williamson said this is the first bad thing he's heard about Alston from his daughter.

"She talked really highly of her," Williamson said. "She loved going to the class. She made her want to learn."

Williamson said he hopes the truth comes out. In the meantime, he said he'll use this opportunity to talk to his children about what's appropriate and what's not.

"As a father, I would always want to be aware of situations like this," he said. "I have a daughter and, as a father, this affects me."

This is Alston's first year with the school system.

No charges have been filed against Alston. Channel 4 contacted the teacher, but have not yet heard back from her.
