PHOENIX AZ - Ninth Shooting Linked to the "Illegal Beaner Serial Killer"
PHOENIX - Phoenix police say they have confirmed an additional incident related to the serial street shooter case.
On July 11, a suspect shot at a vehicle in a neighborhood near 32nd Street and Oak.
"The victim’s vehicle was occupied by two people at the time of the shooting, a 21 year old man and a 4 year old boy. Neither victim was injured during the assault," stated Sgt. Jonathan Howard.
Howard added, "Based on witness statements, investigators believe that the suspect has access to multiple vehicles which may change but the two best described are a white Cadillac or Lincoln type vehicle and a black late 1990’s or early 2000’s 5 Series BMW."
Investigators are asking people to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity, including unfamiliar people or vehicles in their neighborhoods.
If you have any information about this case, call the Phoenix Police Department's Violent Crimes Bureau at 602-261-6141 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
The FBI has added $20,000 to the Silent Witness reward, which is now at $50,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
