Park Ridge Government & Police Department are currently under a federal investigation by the FBI & U.S. Department of Justice - Now people are being shot "accidentally" in Park Ridge - Police: Park Ridge man might have shot himself by accident with a 45 caliber semi-automatic - may have ties to Jim Testin

A 29-year-old Park Ridge man with a shady past was shot Saturday afternoon in what police are investigating as a possible accident.

Investigators believe the man might have shot himself in the abdomen while handling a .45-caliber semi automatic handgun on the rear deck of his home on the 900 block of St. James Place, Deputy Police Lou Jogmen said.

Police and paramedics were called to the home for a report of a person shot around 4 p.m. Saturday.

According to preliminary information obtained by police, the gun reportedly discharged as the man was putting it back in the holster he was wearing, Jogmen said. The bullet went through the holster and into the man's side, the deputy police chief said.

The man was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he remained hospitalized Monday, police said.

Police are investigating the incident, Jogmen said. The gun is legally owned by another occupant of the house, he added.

Fingerprints help Park Ridge Illinois Police ID Negro food burglar - Snuck into whitie's house for a late night snack.... Grapevine Info says Park Ridge is under a secret federal investigation... Is JIM TESTIN flipping on those he once worked with????

Park Ridge police have arrested a feral Negro they say broke into a home four years ago and stole food from a refrigerator.

Alexei D. Perkins, 37, of the 15100 block of Page Avenue in Harvey, was charged Sept. 22 with residential burglary in connection with a break-in reported May 8, 2012, on the 1000 block of South Rose Avenue, police said.

Deputy Police Chief Lou Jogmen said the occupants of the house were asleep when a burglar broke a rear window, entered the house and took food from the kitchen refrigerator between midnight and 4:30 a.m.

At the time the crime was reported, Jogmen said that in addition to the missing food, the occupants discovered someone drank their orange juice and left a pizza and lunch meat behind on a counter. Remnants of a hamburger, eaten by the family dog, were also reportedly found in the backyard.

A purse, wallet and iPad were left untouched in the kitchen, Jogmen said.

Fingerprints collected at the scene were sent to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab and in February 2015 — nearly three years after the burglary — police were informed that the fingerprints belonged to Perkins, Jogmen said.

A warrant for Perkins' arrest was obtained, but he was not apprehended until last week when a police officer in Harvey encountered Perkins and, running his personal information through a law enforcement database, discovered he was wanted by Park Ridge police, Jogmen said.

Perkins remained in custody of the Cook County Jail this week with bail set at $35,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 5.
