Typical Negro behavior (TNB) 100 Gunshots Fired In Chicago Street Shootout - 6 Shot - One Fatally

Carl Benton was playing music at a house party in the South Chicago neighborhood on the Far South Side early Saturday when he looked up and saw people rushing toward him.

Soon, women were on top of him during what he recalled being about 10 minutes of gunfire. He thinks he heard "about 100" gunshots just after 2:10 a.m. from inside and outside a home in the 8800 block of South Exchange Avenue.

"People that were on top of me told me to lay down," he said. "I was trying to get up and they wouldn't let me up."

Benton, who goes by DJ Silky C, said he saw three to four people on the ground after the gunfire stopped.

In total, six people were shot at the house party. A 20-year-old man was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. He had not been identified as of Saturday morning.

Another 20-year-old man was shot in the groin and was in critical condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.

A 21-year-old man was shot in the left arm, and his condition was stabilized at Northwestern Memorial. A 23-year-old man was also shot in the arm, and his condition was stabilized at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

A 25-year-old woman was grazed in the head by a bullet. Her condition was stabilized at Stroger Hospital.
