The winner of the 1986 Nobel Prize for literature says he has fulfilled a pre-election promise to cut up his green card and leave the United States if Donald Trump was elected president.

“I have already done it, I have disengaged [from the United States]. I have done what I said I would do,” Wole Soyinka, an 82-year-old Nigerian poet and playwright, told Agence France-Presse at an education conference in South Africa on Thursday.

Border Patrol Agents Warming Burritos, Babysitting For Illegal Aliens, Chief Says

“Experience shows that you can build more walls and you can put more border security on the southwest border, but you’ve got to address the underlying circumstances in Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador that motivate a 7-year-old child to transit the entire length of Mexico, come to the United States for a better life,” said Homeland Security Director, Jeh Johnson.

No sir, those are problems for Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador to solve. Your job is to secure our borders and you clearly aren’t doing that.

Border Patrol agents have been reduced to “professional child care providers” for illegal immigrants, warming burritos and babysitting the families and unaccompanied children who are surging across the border at an increasing rate, the agents’ frustrated chief told Congress on Wednesday.

Chief Mark Morgan, who was tapped to lead the agency in June, said he has had to pull hundreds of his agents from patrolling against drugs and illegal border crossers in Arizona and California and shipped them to Texas, where they would be manning what amounts to day care holding centers, stocking baby powder and placing requisition orders for baby wipes.

“Agents, one of their jobs during the day, is to make sure the burritos that are being provided are being warmed properly,” he told the Senate Homeland Security Committee.

“It really is child care professional stuff that we’re doing: clothing them, feeding them, making sure that they get the medical attention, making sure that they’re able to sleep, making sure that they get appropriate meals during the day, make sure they have snacks, that meals are warm,” he said.

VA Hospital Admits Vets May Have Been Infected With HIV, Hepatitis

This is just horrific.

Hundreds of patients at a Department of Veterans Affairs hospital in Wisconsin may have been infected with HIV or other diseases as a result of prohibited practices by one of its providers.

According to the local WEAU News, a dentist at the Tomah VA Medical Center used, cleaned, and then reused his equipment when treating patients, in violation of agency infection control rules that require providers to use sterile and disposable equipment.

The practice may have resulted in nearly 600 veterans being infected with Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or HIV, VA administrators revealed on Tuesday afternoon. The hospital is currently notifying the 592 patients who may have been affected between October 2015 and October 2016 when the dentist used this practice.
