Couple Stabbed & Wounded On CTA Brown Line....
A man and a woman were wounded late Thursday afternoon after being stabbed near the Western Avenue Brown Line CTA stop in Lincoln Square, police said.
The stabbings happened at 4:34 p.m. on the 4600 block of North Western Avenue, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.
The two got into an argument with two males. It began on the platform stop and continued to the ground level, where they were stabbed, officials said.
The 20-year-old male victim was stabbed several times in the upper body and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition.
The 18-year-old woman was stabbed in the arm and was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital, where her condition had stabilized, Sweeney said.
The victims knew the attackers, police said.
