Shots fired at Ford City Mall during armed robbery: police

CHICAGO -- Police are on the scene of an armed robbery at Ford City Mall on Chicago's South Side.

Chicago police say it happened at 11:11 a.m. Friday, and that shots were fired by the armed offender.

No injuries have been reported.

Sources tell WGN it was a jewelry store that was robbed.

Squad cars have surrounded the mall's entrances.
