CHICAGO — A 26-year-old man was stabbed while exiting a CTA Red Line train early Sunday morning in the city's Lakeview neighborhood.

The incident occurred just after 3:30 a.m. at the Belmont station, according to police. Police say a black man, 5 feet 7 inches, 150 pounds with leopard print pants and long, strawberry blonde hair pepper sprayed the victim and then stabbed him in the abdomen.

The victim was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital and is in stable condition.

Area North Police are investigating.

No arrests have been made.
