Donald Trump effigies stuffed with fireworks and burned during Mexican Easter rituals - Of course the media DOES NOT CALL THIS CONTROVERSIAL

Mexico celebrated Easter by burning effigies of Donald Trump, the Republican presidential front-runner who pledged to construct a towering wall along the U.S. border and force Mexico to pay for it.

Fireworks erupted from the New York billionaire’s papier-mâché grinning head in Mexico City’s La Merced neighborhood, one of several symbolic figures torched during the country’s traditional Burning of Judas Iscariot on Holy Saturday.

The annual celebration picks on public figures representing evil — likening Judas betrayal of Jesus, according to the Bible.

In a stunning display, the explosives burst the idol's torso wide open as it hung by a noose, exposing layers of newspaper strips crafted by artist Felipe Linares for the nighttime revelry.

For this year’s Holy Week celebrations, Linares picked Trump for months of his xenophobic diatribes.
